Edge of a City

Work by Steven Holl from the Permanent Collection of Architecture and Design

November 12, 1999 - February 20, 2000

Acclaimed New York architect Steven Holl's Edge of a City project, which investigates how to create recognizable form in urban sprawl, will be the focus of this selection from the permanent collection. Holl's five models, banner-sized photo collages and evocative sketches show buildings that snake along the edges of Dallas, Phoenix, Cleveland and Buffalo, creating habitable edges for ever-growing cities.
