The Library is open to external researchers by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Due to our small staff, appointments are limited and priority is given to researchers seeking material that is not available at their local libraries. We strongly encourage interested researchers to begin their research at their local public and university libraries; in some cases these institutions may have the same items and can provide quicker access without an appointment.
To ensure the availability of materials, appointments should be made at least one week in advance. All library materials are non-circulating and must be paged from closed stacks. Additionally, a significant portion of our collection is stored offsite. The Library staff asks that researchers identify specific items of interest in advance of their visit by reviewing the online catalog here. Requests should be submitted via this form or by email, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Researchers are welcome to make additional requests during their visit, but paging may be delayed and we will not be able to provide same day access to items stored offsite.
