As always, beginning Memorial Day weekend (Saturday, May 24, 2003), the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) will open its galleries, MuseumStore and Caffè Museo at 10 a.m.—one hour earlier—to benefit the schedules of out-of-town visitors and local residents. Additionally, beginning Saturday, July 26, with the opening of the special exhibition Marc Chagall, the Museum will also remain open until 9 p.m. on Friday evenings. These expanded hours will remain in effect through Tuesday, November 4, when Marc Chagall closes. Regular daily opening hours will resume on Thursday, November 6, when the Museum galleries will open at 11 a.m., the MuseumStore at 10:30 a.m., and Caffè Museo at 10 a.m.
Please note that a special ticket is required for admission to the Marc Chagall exhibition, for an additional $5. This ticket includes regular SFMOMA admission (see below for prices) and is applicable at all times.
