The six cardboard boxes that make up Rauschenberg’s Rosalie/Red Cheek/Temporary Letter/Stock (Cardboard) offer glimpses of the American manufacturing and shipping industries. This stamp on the small Colgate toothpaste box found near the center of the work belongs to the Longview Fibre Company in Oakland, California.
