How do I purchase tickets for Amy Sherald: American Sublime?

Tickets were released for the entire run of the exhibition on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. These tickets are available for purchase online and at any service desk on Floor 2.

A limited number of same-day tickets will be available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis.

How much do tickets cost?

There is a $10 surcharge ($12 on weekends & holiday periods) for this special exhibition. Members and visitors 18 and younger can attend for free. A museum ticket and a timed ticket are required for all visitors.

Do I need a timed ticket for entry?

The exhibition has a limited capacity. To ensure as many people as possible can safely experience it, timed tickets are required.

I’m a member, do I need to book a ticket?

Yes, all members must book a timed ticket for entry. Members can book tickets online; please make sure you are logged into your account.

When will more tickets become available?

Additional tickets will be released each day based on presold attendance and availability at the moment of purchase.

I purchased a museum ticket from a third party; how do I add on a timed ticket for this exhibition?

A limited number of same-day tickets will be available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. Please stop by the Ticketing Desk on the day of your visit.

Can I return or exchange my ticket?

Tickets are nontransferable, nonrefundable, and cannot be resold.

Can I enter multiple times during my visit?

Re-entry will not be allowed to ensure that as many people as possible can experience the exhibition.
