This unprocessed scan of Erased de Kooning Drawing (1953) was made in 2010 as part of an
advanced digital imaging effort aimed at learning more about the drawing by Willem de Kooning (1904–1997) that Rauschenberg erased. The infrared light revealed subtle traces of the original graphite and charcoal marks that remain on the sheet.
