This composite comprises detail views showing the inscriptions on the seven individual artworks in Rauschenberg’s Pyramid Series (1974). The inscriptions were written by the artist or a member of his studio staff, and take the following form: a triangle (representing a pyramid) followed by the number 1 (indicating the first set of the Pyramid Series drawings) and the letter specific to each unit. The “74” to the right of each inscription indicates that the works were created in 1974.
