Jacqueline Kiyomi Gork

American

1982, California, United States

Artist Jacqueline Kiyomi Gork discusses Inside You Is Me (2016/2017), a sonic environment she installed at SFMOMA as part of the exhibition Soundtracks. The piece, which features a chorus of directional speakers playing sounds amid an evolving formation of movable walls, highlights the highly personal ways we experience sound — a quality she refers to as “slipperiness.”
