Kerry Tribe describes her video installation Standardized Patient (2017), which explores the relationships between medical professionals and patients. While we typically expect our doctors to be well educated, skilled, and knowledgeable, Tribe discusses how this piece looks at the importance of empathy, communication, and genuine human connection.
