These conservation notes document a 1992 telephone call between SFMOMA conservator J. William Shank and staff members at the Menil Collection, Houston, regarding Collection’s silk veil. The notes informed the veil’s subsequent replacement in 1998–99, also documented here, along with correspondence with the artist related to the treatment.
