Museums for All

San Francisco residents with valid Medi-Cal, CalFresh, SNAP, or EBT cards can enter SFMOMA at no cost. Present your benefits card as well as proof of San Francisco residency on the day of your visit. Each eligible guest can get up to four adult tickets total, including General Admission and special exhibitions.

Blue Star Museums — Active U.S. Military and Veterans

SFMOMA participates in the Blue Star Museums program, in effect from Armed Forces Day (the third Saturday in May) through Labor Day (the first Monday in September). During this period, visitors with an active U.S. military ID receive free general admission for themselves and up to five family members. The program also includes free general admission for military families with dependent cards. At all other times of the year, SFMOMA offers active U.S. military and U.S. veterans free general admission for themselves and one guest. Tickets are only available onsite at the Ticketing Desk and are limited to same-day, walk-up availability.

More than 120 companies have joined SFMOMA as Corporate Members to inspire their employees with creativity and innovation. These select companies enjoy free admission, access to special events, discounts in the store and cafe, and other benefits. Proof of employment (work ID, business card, or pay stub) and a photo ID are required for entry.

Reciprocal Members

To receive tickets, members of participating institutions must present their membership card with a MARP icon.*

ICOM logo
International Council of Museums (ICOM)

Members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) are eligible for free admission plus one guest when they present their current ICOM card at the ticketing desk.

CIMAM logo
International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art (CIMAM)

SFMOMA offers free admission to CIMAM members and one guest with current CIMAM cards and photo ID.*

Children 18 and under

Children 18 and under receive free admission.

Caregiver Admission

Professional Personal Care Attendants (PPCA) accompanying a paying visitor who requires care will not be charged admission.*

Reciprocal Staff Admissions

Employees of other museums with current valid staff ID receive free general admission for themselves and one guest.*
