30/30 Vision: 3 Decades of Strand Releasing

One of the leading US distributors of international and independent cinema, Strand Releasing celebrates its 30th anniversary with a return to the city where it all began, San Francisco. Co-hosted by SFMOMA, Strand will be exhibiting a series of 30 short films shot around the world on iPhones. Join Strand co-president and founder Marcus Hu and special guests for a screening of this eclectic compilation. A surprise film from the Strand catalogue will follow the presentation.

Artists involved in the project include SFMOMA Media Arts collection artists Lynn Hershman Leeson and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, along with Catherine Breillat, Christophe Honoré, John Waters, and more.
