This art-house classic, Warhol’s most commercially successful film, features 16mm films projected split screen with a single audio track. In choreographed scenarios at the Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan, Factory stars such as Nico, Gerard Malanga, and Ondine chatter about topics ranging from banal to sensational and even taboo. The Velvet Underground provides the mesmerizing soundtrack.
