An Evening with Apichatpong Weerasethakul

Join visionary filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul for an illustrated discussion of his films and his art. The featured filmmaker in our inaugural Modern Cinema program, Apichatpong’s work is also on view in SFMOMA’s Media Arts exhibition Film as Place. Recognized as one of the most original voices in contemporary cinema, Apichatpong’s moving-image practice encompasses feature films, shorts and installations. This is a rare opportunity to discover his fertile cross-pollination of art and cinema, and to explore the themes that illuminate these unique works with the filmmaker himself.
