Members see it first! Enjoy an advance viewing of Bernd & Hilla Becher, the first U.S. museum retrospective since 1974 of the boundary-pushing postwar photographers, who are best known for their “typologies,” groupings of photographs depicting the disappearing industrial architecture of Western Europe and North America that fueled the modern era. The exhibition features 200 works of art focused on structures the Bechers documented, from the coal districts of Germany and industrial centers of England, to the U.S. Rust Belt and beyond.
