An exploration of process, progress, and technology, this afternoon focuses on Bruce Conner’s creative collaborations. Hear from two of Conner’s collaborators and view a selection of films.

2 p.m.

Patrick Gleeson reflects on working with Conner to score films, including TAKE THE 5:10 TO DREAMLAND (1976), TELEVISION ASSASSINATION (1963/1975), LUKE (1967/2004), and CROSSROADS (1976). The four films will be screened during the program.

4 p.m.

Henry S. Rosenthal discusses collaborating with Conner on the unfinished documentary THE SOUL STIRRERS: BY AND BY about the revolutionary gospel quartet, and presents a special screening.
