Canyon Cinema Works

A cornerstone of the Bay Area experimental film scene, Canyon Cinema has grown since its founding in the early 1960s to represent 340 filmmaker members, distributing more than 3,200 works on film and DVD. This program is a selection of 35mm films from the Canyon collection, including Donna Cameron’s World Trade Alphabet (2001); Tomonari Nishikawa’s 16-18-4 (2008); Pat O’Neill’s Horizontal Boundaries (2008); Peter Tscherkassky’s Dream Work (for Man Ray) (2001); Scott Stark’s Traces (2012); Louise Bourque’s Self Portrait Post Mortem (2002); and Antoni Pinent’s Kinosturm Kubelka (2009).
