Design Earth on Far Out

Saturday, Oct 19, 2019

2:30 p.m.

Koret Education Center, Floor 2

Free and open to the public; museum admission is not required

Join El Hadi Jazairy and Rania Ghosn, partners in the architecture design firm Design Earth, as they discuss how human beings will approach the challenge of living and sustaining themselves while exploring the cosmos. Design Earth is part of the exhibition Far Out: Suits, Habs, and Labs for Outer Space, which presents realized and conceptual designs for space suits, habitats, and laboratories alongside a selection of films and visual art. Jazairy and Ghosn’s collaborative practice focuses on growing concerns around how ecology and politics direct aesthetics and architecture. Presented in partnership with CCA Architecture.
