SFMOMA, the San Francisco Art Institute, and the San Francisco Film Society present a rare screening of an early and important work by Hall that documents connections between landscape, media, and climatic conditions. Storm and Stress is presented along with Michael Klier’s landmark film Der Riese — selected by Hall for this screening — a starkly unsettling portrait of the surveillance state. The presentation begins with an introduction by Hall.
