On Friday night, enjoy Friday Nights at OMCA with Off the Grid from 5 to 9 p.m. This free event features live music, hands-on activities, and food trucks in OMCA’s garden, with direct access to Lake Merritt.
Be sure to visit Into the Brightness: Artists from Creativity Explored, Creative Growth & NIAD, now on view at OMCA. The exhibition celebrates myriad works from contemporary artists with developmental disabilities. From painting to sculpture to multimedia, these world-renowned artists are producing work of incredible power, exuberance, humor, complexity, and joy.
Then, on Sunday, July 16, from 1–3 p.m., embrace the summer season at a festive marketplace featuring artwork produced by artists from the three collaborating studios of Into the Brightness: Artists from Creativity Explored, Creative Growth & NIAD. Support the studios and shop for prints, ceramics, zines, quilts, buttons, trinkets, and more fun finds for yourself or a friend! Artists will showcase existing work and/or create new pieces inspired by the theme of summer and the joy of being together.
You’ll receive free admission for two adults (SFMOMA members’ children 18 and younger are free during the weekend) as well as discounts at OMCA’s store, restaurant, and parking garage, upon presentation of your SFMOMA membership card or your purchase confirmation email and an ID.
