Rooftop Radio is back!
Kick off summer on our rooftop with a unique musical experience with a Gallic flair, organized in partnership by SFMOMA and Villa Albertine San Francisco/French Consulate, and celebrating the exhibition Matisse’s Femme au chapeau: A Modern Scandal. Three renowned French and French American DJs will keep the energy going all evening, spinning the best of French Electro Pop.

Special food and drink will be available for purchase (please note: only cashless payment methods accepted).
Plus, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., score a complimentary tote bag featuring an original design at a live screenprinting station hosted by Babylon Burning, a San Francisco Legacy Business. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis — come early to get yours.

Also, don’t miss the Joie de Vivre! Tastings and Artmaking activation at the Gina and Stuart Peterson White Box on Floor 4. Sample artisan foods made in the French tradition and enjoy drop-in art making workshops inspired by the Paris avant-garde.
Ticket Details
A ticket is required to attend Rooftop Radio. Advance online ticket reservations are encouraged. A limited number of tickets will be available on-site on the day of the event starting at 3 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

About Villa Albertine, the French Institute for Culture and Education

Villa Albertine is the cultural arm of the French Embassy in the United States, supported by the French government and Albertine Foundation. Present in ten major US cities — Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, New Orleans, San Francisco, and Washington, DC — its mission is to strengthen ties between the United States, France, and the French-speaking world through culture and education. In the arts and culture sphere, Villa Albertine encourages collaboration among French and US-based organizations and provides creators, thought leaders, and professionals with customized residencies, immersive networking experiences, grants, and connections to audiences. In the field of education, Villa Albertine crafts projects and programs aimed at making French language and culture accessible to young US-based audiences, expanding opportunities for students to study and complete internships in France, and supporting partnerships between French and American higher education and research institutions.
About the Artists
Crystallmess
Born in the Paris region, where she still lives and works, Crystallmess is an interdisciplinary French DJ, music producer, and visual artist of Ivorian, Guadeloupean, and Martinican heritage. Her stunning debut EP, MERE NOISES, got her noticed by artists Kode9 and VTSS, as well as the label PAN. Her DJ sets are uncompromising, ranging from hardcore rap to footwork. She regularly performs at some of the world’s top clubs like Berghain in Berlin, and festivals including Coachella, where she played alongside Frank Ocean. She has worked with art institutions in France and abroad, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Haus der Kunst in Munich, and Tate Modern in London. In addition to being a muse and part of the collective around the fashion brand TELFAR, she has created soundtracks for Marni and Nike runway shows. Crystallmess is a former artist in residence at Villa Albertine.
Greg Cerrone
Greg Cerrone is a French American DJ and producer born in Los Angeles and raised between LA and Paris. He worked for Malligator Records before founding On Air Music in 2005 and LifeCode Records in 2023. Signed to Ultra Music, he released tracks on Size, Armada, and Atlantic. He got remixed by Avicii, did remixes for artists like Britney Spears, will.i.am, and OneRepublic, as well as collaborated with Arno Cost. He has worked in production with major names including Marc Cerrone, Nile Rodgers, Bob Sinclar, Stargate, and Kungs. As an international DJ, he has performed at iconic venues such as Ministry of Sound, Space Ibiza, and in cities all over the world. His recent releases include “Forever,” “In the Air Tonight,” “Glow Up,” and “Golden Hour,” which showcase his continuously evolving sound and continued activity on the global scene.
Joachim Garraud
Joachim Garraud is a seminal figure in electronic music who has played a pivotal role in the global rise of the French Touch. Classically trained in piano and percussion, he is a formidable sound architect, co-producing planetary hits and collaborating with legends such as David Guetta, Jean-Michel Jarre, David Bowie, and Kylie Minogue. Beyond the studio, he is a pioneer of electronic live performance and has united a unique community, the “Space Invaders,” around a shared passion for technology and music. Always striving for innovation, he is now exploring new horizons from his base in California with LAGoodVibe, his 100% solar-powered mobile studio, and his company Studio Design, which is reimagining the acoustics and aesthetics of creative spaces. In February 2026, he released his landmark autobiography, I Love My DJ Life, an interactive book featuring QR code-linked audio and video content for each story. Garraud has produced nearly 300 titles and played close to 900 shows on five continents over his thirty years in the music world.
