SFMOMA Remembers Roy De Forest

Tuesday, September 18, 2007, 4:00 p.m.

On September 18, SFMOMA hosts a memorial service in honor of Bay Area painter Roy De Forest, who passed away last spring. De Forest's drawings and paintings of dogs and other fanciful creatures established him as one of California's most respected and beloved artists and earned admiration among art lovers of all ages.

The afternoon includes a program in the Phyllis Wattis Theater, featuring speakers who were close to De Forest and his work, and a gathering in The Schwab Room.
