Shadowshop Final Days

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: The Shadowshopper Network, a QVC-style performative event hosted by artists Packard Jennings, Steuart Pittman, and Scott Vermiere, will be broadcasting live! Special guest artists will be interviewed, and audience participation is encouraged! Come and see it live from 5-7 p.m. PST.

6:30 p.m.: Curator Talk on Shadowshop by Frank Smigiel, associate curator of public programs, SFMOMA

Join artist Stephanie Syjuco for Final Days, an event to celebrate the closing of Shadowshop, a temporary and alternative store and distribution point embedded within the museum’s fifth-floor galleries. Many of the works for sale were made exclusively for Shadowshop and won’t be found anywhere else. Help push the project over $100,000 in sales, support the efforts of over 200 artists, meet and mingle, and take advantage of your last chance to buy! The last day of Shadowshop will be May 1, 2011, on International Workers’ Day.
