Storytelling with guest artists from Pixar

San Francisco families are invited to take part in the second annual Family Appreciation Day, which features free admission to 33 local attractions. More than 27,000 people participated in last year’s inaugural event.

Coordinated by the Department of Children, Youth, and Their Families and spearheaded by Mayor Gavin Newsom, Family Appreciation Day aims to raise awareness of San Francisco’s abundant resources and attractions for children of all ages and their families. Screenings include Geris’ Game, For the Birds, Boundin’, and One Man Band.

For both film screenings, Pixar’s Osnat Shurer will present and discuss the technical and artistic achievements of the shorts. The program will allow time for Q & A.
