UC Botanical Garden: Free Admission for SFMOMA Members!

July 20–23, 2014

5 p.m.

UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley

The University of California Botanical Garden at Berkeley welcomes SFMOMA members with free admission July 21 – 25 and August 25 – 29. Summer is an exciting time at the UC Botanical Garden. With more than 12,000 different kinds of plants from around the world, the garden holds one of the largest and most diverse collections in North America. Preparing to bloom now, the Queen of the Andes (Puja raimondii) is the largest bromeliad species in the world. Queen of the Andes plants do not usually bloom in the wild until they are 80 to 100 years old; the garden’s plant is only 24 years old (the youngest ever recorded blooming). Don’t miss this opportunity to see the Puja raimondii blooming with your very own eyes!
