Create your own Get in the Game-inspired artwork using tools from a unique, bicycle-powered, zine-making studio. Artivate artists and educators Chris Treggiari and Amy Berk have packed their mobile studio with all the tools and materials needed to create your own zine or baseball card, including a selection of prompts and pre-designed pages inspired by artists and artworks on view in Get in the Game.

Run by Berk and Treggiari, Artivate works to bring activism and art to youth in the Bay Area while bridging communities through public art projects. The program takes inspiration from art, events, and exhibitions in the Bay Area and beyond to create semester-long classes that invite youth to collaborate in the research and creation of interactive public art projects with a community partner. Artivate treats these classes as college classes for their students, giving them real-world project experiences while bolstering participants’ resumes and portfolios for their future careers. Artivate uses mentorship as a program pillar to support important learning and experiential project outcomes.
