Reciprocal Benefits

SFMOMA members gain access to museums and collections in the Bay Area and across the United States and Canada through our reciprocal membership program.

Whitney Museum of American Art

Through a special agreement with the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, SFMOMA members at the Supporter level and higher receive complimentary admission for two people (does not include admission to member previews or discounts at the museum store).

Museum Alliance Reciprocal Program

Through the Museum Alliance Reciprocal Program, SFMOMA members at the Supporter level and higher receive complimentary admission and other benefits at more than thirty museums in the U.S. and Canada. Reciprocal benefits include:

  • Free admission at all times during museum hours*
  • Admission to member previews
  • Discounts on purchases made at participating museums' stores
