Contemporaries
Keep your finger on the pulse of today’s contemporary art world with innovative programs that foster conversation, learning, and connecting. Contemporaries members are invited to experience programs with diverse guests and topics, tour art fairs with museum curators, meet emerging artists, and get insider perspectives on how to build or expand a collection of your own.
Contemporaries membership is $2,500 annually and requires an SFMOMA membership at the $2,500 Curators’ Circle level or higher. Total annual contribution: $5,000 minimum.
Typical programs include:
- Artist Talks: Insightful conversations between curators and artists
- Private Collection Visits: Special access to private contemporary art collections in the Bay Area
- Progressives: Walking tours including visits to artist studios and members’ private collections
- Travel: Register for curated trips to visit with artists, museum directors, curators, and collectors in contemporary art hot spots. Past locations have included New Orleans, Pittsburgh, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Mexico City
- Behind-the-scenes visits, tours, and celebrations showcasing the contemporary art communities at SFMOMA, and more!
