A special version of our $300 Supporter membership created in celebration of KAWS: FAMILY. It includes all standard Supporter benefits plus a complimentary KAWS figure and special-edition membership cards. This membership is available in limited quantities and offered while supplies last.
Both options include the full set of Supporter benefits (free museum admission for you and up to three guests, Member Preview access, Museum Store discount, free admission at over forty art museums throughout North America, and more). The key difference is that KAWS Edition adds a complimentary KAWS figure and special card and, because of that figure, this version of the Supporter membership is not tax deductible. (The standard Supporter membership remains fully tax deductible.)
The Supporter: KAWS Edition membership is a special, limited-availability membership connected to KAWS: FAMILY, offering a unique way for new members to experience SFMOMA. This membership is open to individuals who haven’t held an active membership since April 1, 2025. While it isn’t available as a renewal or gift membership, current members can continue to enjoy all the benefits of their existing membership and other special experiences throughout the year.
You’ll receive the full Supporter benefits (unlimited admission for you + up to three guests, Member Preview access, and a 10% Museum Store discount with eligibility for member sale days, free admission at over forty art museums throughout North America), plus a complimentary KAWS figure and special-edition membership cards.
Your membership begins as soon as you join and remains active for one full year. It will expire on the last day of the same month the following year. (For example, if you join on October 20, 2025, your membership will be valid through October 31, 2026.)
No. Because the membership includes a KAWS figure with fair-market value, it is not tax deductible. The standard Supporter membership is fully tax deductible.

KAWS figures for memberships purchased before January 20, 2026, can be picked up in person at the Membership Desk during museum hours. Starting January 21, all new Supporter: KAWS Edition members will have their KAWS figure shipped to their home, at no additional cost.
Please note: the name of at least one membership account holder must match the name of the paying credit card holder. The credit card holder must be present for on-site pickup of the KAWS figure and must present a matching photo ID and the credit card used for purchase. Shipped orders may require signature confirmation upon delivery. The membership is non-refundable once the figure is picked up or delivered.
Starting January 21, all new Supporter: KAWS Edition members will have their KAWS figure shipped to their home, at no additional cost. You will receive an email with a tracking number once the figure has shipped. Please allow two to four weeks from the time of purchase for shipping. Shipped orders may require signature confirmation upon delivery. Membership cards will be mailed separately, along with an acknowledgement letter for your membership. The membership is non-refundable once the figure is picked up or delivered.
No, if you have opted for on-site pick up, please collect your figure at the Membership Desk during museum hours.
Each membership includes one figure from KAWS’s General Mills Cereal Monsters series (Franken Berry, Boo Berry, Frute Brute, or Count Chocula). Designs are distributed at random and can’t be selected in advance.
One KAWS figure and two KAWS membership cards are included per Supporter: KAWS Edition membership (per household).

No. Due to the limited nature of the program, gifting is not available for Supporter: KAWS Edition memberships.
The Supporter: KAWS Edition membership does not auto-renew. Near the end of your term, you’ll have the option to continue as a standard Supporter (or another membership level).
