In the orientation pictured here, Untitled (Elemental Sculpture) [steel flange and stone] is balanced on three points: the tip of the bolt, the bend of the strap, and the edge of the steel flange. Although this positioning might seem precarious, the sculpture is quite stable in this configuration.
