This specification sheet issued by Gemini G.E.L. documents the people and processes involved in making Rauschenberg’s Arena II (Stoned Moon) (1969), as well as the number of each kind of proof produced for the artwork. Although the title listed here is Arena I(Stoned Moon), an inscription on the verso of the work confirms that the SFMOMA print is actually the second state, which is properly titled Arena II (Stoned Moon). Arena I (Stoned Moon) and Arena II (Stoned Moon) share one specification sheet because they were created from the same lithographic stone. However, Arena II (Stoned Moon) was made with blue rather than gray ink.

In 2012, SFMOMA updated the accession numbers for all the Stoned Moon prints acquired in 1977 to conform to museum registration standards for the numbering of portfolios. The previous accession number for this work appears at the top of the Gemini G.E.L. specification sheet.
