Issey Miyake (b. 1938), a prominent Japanese fashion designer, is recognized in Fashion (Tribute 21). Miyake said, “. . . the duty of design is to rejuvenate people, make them healthier and more energetic. . . . Design is the admiration of life.” In the brochure, this quote accompanies a reproduction of Rauschenberg’s print Fashion (Tribute 21).
