This informational brochure lists the humanitarian themes and honorees represented in Rauschenberg’s Tribute 21 portfolio (1994). Rauschenberg collaborated with Felissimo, a Japanese company, on this project, which was aimed at bolstering public awareness of the featured causes and individuals. In the brochure, Rauschenberg notes, “I feel strong in my belief, based on my varied and widely traveled collaborations, that a one-to-one contact through art contains potent peaceful powers, and is the most non-elitiest [sic] way to share exotic and common information, hopefully seducing us into creating mutual understandings for the benefit of all.” Felissimo donated $10,000 to each honoree.
