This installation view of the Vancouver Art Gallery exhibition Robert Rauschenberg—Works from Captiva (September 8–October 29, 1978) shows Hiccups on the baffle wall at left. The other two artworks in the gallery, Summer Pledges (Spread) and Credit Blossom (Spread) (both 1978), were made concurrently with Hiccups and echo its gridded composition.
