Meredith George Van Dyke acted as project research assistant for SFMOMA’s Rauschenberg Research Project, compiling extensive exhibition histories and bibliographies as well as gathering primary documentation on the artist and artworks. She also contributed to a selection of the artwork overview texts. She holds a BA in international relations from Boston University and an MA in art history from Hunter College. Her thesis, “An Exiled Painter: Edward Corbett’s Poetic Reentry,” argues for greater recognition of the artist’s contributions to Abstract Expressionism. Her published writings include contributions to Fifty Years of Bay Area Art: The SECA Awards (2011) and Jay DeFeo: A Retrospective (2012). Since 2011, Van Dyke has worked on the forthcoming catalogue raisonné chronicling the work of Richard Diebenkorn.
