Highlighting Bay Area composers and sound artists working with electronic-based technologies, the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival opening night presents a fixed-media piece interspersed with live performances by Dina Emerson in Milton Babbitt’s “Philomel,” along with Tom Djill and Tim Perkis’s tongue-in-cheek send-up “Interminacy,” based on the similarly titled John Cage/David Tudor piece for voice and electronics. Video and tape pieces by Les Stuck and Sarah Howe, among others, also will be presented.
