Humor and modern art have a long history together. From the absurdity of Dada and Surrealism, to the playfulness of Fluxus, to the irony of Pop art and the satire of political art, artists use humor to approach taboo topics, critique institutions, and destabilize perceptions. Poets, performance artists, stand-up comedians, and short films by Bas Jan Ader come together for an evening of art and humor.
