Discovering Connections 2013

In this four-day program, teachers will visit the collections of the Asian Art Museum, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and SFMOMA (on view at the Contemporary Jewish Museum) to explore artworks using observation, inquiry, analysis, and reflection. Participants will develop techniques for engaging with artworks and learn how the museum setting empowers students’ critical thinking and creativity.

The institute is designed for high school teachers and includes gallery experiences, discussions with museum staff, and an education packet.
