5:30 p.m.

Participants

Russell Ferguson, adjunct curator, Hammer Museum, and professor and chair, Department of Art, University of California, Los Angeles
Rudolf Frieling, curator of media arts, SFMOMA
Douglas Gordon, artist

Join Gordon and Ferguson for a discussion of the artist’s diverse practice, which encompasses film, video, photography, performance, and text. The conversation addresses the roles of perception, psychology, and language in Gordon’s artwork, as well as the ways in which Gordon teases out such dichotomous themes as good and evil, trust and deception, memory and forgetting. Frieling introduces the program.
