Focusing on works in Between Art and Life, Charles explores the question of how viewers find meaning in contemporary art, which can sometimes be quite challenging. Charles provides art-historical perspective and encourages participants to respond with their own reactions to art by Bruce Conner, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Sherrie Levine, and others. The session concludes with a visit to the galleries.
