V Vale Talk on JG Ballard and Film Screening

At the invitation of New Work artist Markus Schinwald, V Vale, the founder, editor, and publisher of RE/Search Publications, will discuss the work of British sci-fi writer and essayist JG Ballard. The evening will also include a rare screening of Marian Wallace’s video on Ballard and V Vale.

The event is presented alongside Markus Schinwald, the Vienna-based artist’s first major museum commission in the United States, featuring 19^th-century paintings and wooden sculptures created from the legs of Chippendale-style tables that alter the physical and psychological potential of the gallery space.
