Because each unit is unframed and nearly six feet long, Rauschenberg’s Pyramids Series drawings are somewhat difficult to store. They are packed in individual custom boxes with Tyvek bands that hold the drawings in place. Folding the fabric back over the top of the bands to rest on the paper prevents it from creasing and alleviates pressure on the seam where the paper and cloth are joined.
