RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me

For almost a decade, RM, of pop royalty BTS, has been collecting the art that moves him. Now, nearly 150 works from his personal collection come together with works from SFMOMA’s collection, revealing unexpected connections across artists, ideas, and cultures — and offering one of the most expansive presentations of Korean modern art in the US. “The venture has no obvious parallel,” wrote The New York Times.

Centered on modern and contemporary Korean art, the exhibition features works by artists including Yun Hyong-keun, Park Rehyun, and Chang Ucchin. It also traces the broader trajectory of art in Korea through ceramics, calligraphy, painting, sculpture, and more, presenting many works that have never before been exhibited in the US.

한국 근현대 미술을 중심으로 한 이번 전시에서는 윤형근, 박래현, 장욱진을 비롯한 여러 작가의 작품을 선보입니다. 또한 도자기, 서예, 회화, 조각 등 다양한 매체를 통해 5세기부터 오늘날까지 이어지는 한국 미술의 흐름을 폭넓게 조망합니다. 이 가운데 상당수는 미국에서 처음 선보이는 작품들입니다.
