Your Guide to Visiting SFMOMA

Welcome back. We’ve missed you.

SFMOMA is reopening! We’re celebrating with special Member Preview Days from Thursday, October 1–Saturday, October 3 and Free Community Days from Sunday, October 4–Sunday, October 18 with free parking at the museum garage for members and visitors. Come back and enjoy the tranquil galleries, airy terraces, kid-friendly spaces, and world-class artwork you love, or visit for the first time and discover something new.

Daily attendance will be limited to 25% capacity. Social distancing is required, and all visitors age 3 and older must wear masks while in the building. Entry will be through timed tickets; for the safest experience, we strongly encourage you to reserve your tickets online starting Wednesday, September 23 for members and Friday, September 25 for the general public. Tickets will also be available onsite, but availability is limited and not guaranteed.

Hours

  • Open Friday–Monday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Thursday from 1 p.m.–8 p.m; Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • SFMOMA is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. The museum will be open until 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Getting Here

Parking is free through Oct. 18 for museum members and visitors; validation is available onsite in the museum. SFMOMA’s garage on Minna Street is a few steps from the museum’s main entrance on Third Street. After Oct. 18, SFMOMA members will receive a 25% discount and non-members are offered a 10% discount with parking validation. Limited bicycle parking is also available.
