The museum will be closed September 14–16, 2026 for a private event. The Museum Store will remain open to the public from 3rd Street.
Ant Farm's satirical event Media Burn (1975) parodied the conventions of a media spectacle. A fictional politician, the "Artist President," introduced the main event: a sculptural, transformed car crashing through a pyramid of television sets. Real local news channels covered the story, which went national.
